Bishop Reginald L. Griffin 
 

Diocesan Bishop for East Africa Region COOLJC, Pastor of New Covenant Pure Holiness Church, Intl, USA 

Bishop Reginald Griffin is a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina. His mother Katie Mae Scriven died when he was nine years of age.  He is the first of nine children to be born-again.

He attended Winston-Salem University majoring in Business and also 

Garner Webb University majoring in Physical Education. A lifelong learner, he also attended Livingstone College. Bishop Griffin is certified in system of care. 

He is the husband to Lady Griffin, whom he married in 1989 and together they have two children and five grandchildren.

Education and Church Service/ 
Achievements

  • Education: Winston-Salem University (Business); Garner Webb University (Physical Education), Livingstone College.

  • Was first in two different companies as a collection manager.

  • First as a representative for a Vocational.

  • Won the Vice President award at G.N.C. (First Black Manager in the region).

  • Commencement speaker for men’s graduating class for Griffin Vocational (now State College).

  • Founder & Establishmentarian of the R.L. Griffin Bible Institute.

  • Former Diocesan ABYPU president.

  • Former Area 3, (now regional) President.

  • Inducted into the North Georgia Sunday School Hall of Fame.

  • Worked in COOLJC executive office.

  • Preached on TBN – twice.

  • Scored 100% on the COOLJC Bishop exam.

  • Associate Bishop of the North Georgia Diocese.

  • Diocese Bishop over all East Africa.
